20 bore review in BASC magazine and finalists in the Shropshire business awards
Finalists at the Chamber of commerce Business awards
It is with great pride that we were finalists at the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce Business awards. The awards are the largest business awards held outside of the London area and this year Boxall & Edmiston were finalists in the Manufacturing excellence category. The group had stiff competition from many of our engineering colleagues and the award went to Salop Designs who were worthy winners.
The 2015 trophies for the awards were a little different this year with ourselves and Salop designs being asked to craft something bespoke to demonstrate the manufacturing abilities of some of the finalists. We were given two weeks to conceptualise and manufacture 12 trophies, with the winners being secretly engraved just days before the awards ceremony.
The trophies were a water cut, "2015" on top of custom made Walnut bases with stainless steel plaques, engraved using the Boxall & Edmiston laser. The "2015" was then powder coated at Salop designs cutting edge plant which gave them a protected silver coating. The trophies were deemed such a success that the chamber have already asked for more to be conceptualised and produced for next years awards, but fortunately we'll have more than two weeks this time.
20 bore review and the summer gun draw
Boxall & Edmiston and the British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC) share the same aim of "preserving the art of British gunmaking"; as such the 2015 gun draw was an excellent opportunity to raise money for their worthy cause.
To demonstrate the kind of gun the prize winner could obtain the communications team at BASC borrowed and tested one of the Boxall & Edmiston 20 bore over and unders, calling upon a variety of people to demonstrate the versatility a bespoke gun can offer.

The 2015 gun draw is still underway with the lucky prize winner being drawn on the Monday after the CLA game fair (3rd August). The winner will receive a £30,000 gift certificate to be redeemed with Boxall & Edmiston giving the prize winner the opportunity to specify their dream gun, whether it be an over and under or side by side, in a variety of calibres, with many bespoke options along with it.
