Multi-award winning

Boxall and Edmiston are now a multi-award winning company having taken the Manufacturing Champions and Innovation awards at the Shropshire Star Business Excellence awards. The awards were held at the RAF Cosford museum with businesses from across Shropshire in attendance.

The Shropshire Star (our counties local paper) organised the awards to celebrate and promote excellence in business. The evening was a fantastic opportunity to see the diversity of companies in our local area and it was good to see how strong our local business community has become.

The Innovation award was sponsored and judged by Wolverhampton University who were impressed by our forward thinking and use of technology both in manufacturing and marketing. Wolverhampton University has one of the most advanced engineering centres in the UK today, with one of their main sites a short drive from our factory. Over the past year, Boxall & Edmiston have been working with the Universities innovation and engineering teams to continue our pioneering work in shotgun manufacture, more on this later in the year when the projects are complete.

The Manufacturing champion award was judged by Protolabs, winners of last years awards and local rapid manufacturing company who have been global pioneers in manufacturing for many years. It was incredibly flattering to be judged by such esteemed engineers and we were flattered that they recognised exactly what makes our manufacturing unique and how we can produce the finest guns in the world, without compromising quality, at a very different price point to the rest of the industry.

We would like to thank the Shropshire star for organising the event and for their continued support. With the help of media companies like the Shropshire star small business like ourselves can reach their full potential and become national (if not international) brands.

A final thank you goes to Source who worked with us in producing the "gun builder tool" on our website. The gun builder was one of the main reasons we won the Innovation category as it is a revolution in shotgun customising. A particular thank you goes to Source's technical director Gareth and Kit who worked tirelessly on perfecting the tool, even giving technical support over the weekends in the run-up to the launch in December.
