Over and Unders
Boxall and Edmiston’s range of critically acclaimed over and under shotguns are available in 12 and 20 bore. The range combines B&E’s design and engineering excellence to create unique additions to the critically acclaimed range of side by sides.
The range of over and under shotguns have a classic trigger plate lockwork system. This system is central to the action allowing maximum impact of the main (leaf) springs force as it pushes the hammer into the striker. Furthermore, the central location of the lockwork allows minimal striker angle through the action body to the breech face which delivers the cartridge detonation more efficiently as it hits the detonator almost straight on.
The use of leaf springs, a must on classic British guns, gives a faster detonation time as it’s energy can be released more efficiently as it is uncompressed as the sear releases the hammer.
