The range of Over and Unders are entirely bespoke giving even the most fastidious of shooters the option to build their dream gun. Working with Boxall & Edmiston’s team of experts and with input from some of the finest shooting instructors in the world, every gun is custom made to compliment the clients style.
Commissioning a bespoke gun to exacting requirements is only the start of the journey with Boxall & Edmiston. Our team will guide you through the vast array of inclusive upgrades and optional extras to ensure your gun is the perfect accompaniment for any shoot.
Boxall & Edmiston only make bespoke guns and many of our clients will testify that their new gun has improved their shooting. The benefits of having a gun that fits perfectly should not be underestimated and Boxall & Edmiston have worked with some of the finest shooting instructors in the world to ensure every model is perfect in both shape and balance.
When commissioning a Boxall & Edmiston, the following options and aesthetic features are inclusive with every model:
- A choice of full scroll engraving or a colour hardened action with minimal engraving on the round action models;
- Game scenes available on the sideplated models and base of round action;
- A deluxe stock blank to be chosen by the client from the Boxall & Edmiston collection of Walnut;
- A gun fitting at one of the finest shooting schools in the world;
- Bespoke stocking;
- Choice of stocking style;
- Choice of forend style;
- Forend release options;
- Choice of barrel length (26-34”);
- Choice of fixed chokes;
- Single selective or double trigger;
- Trigger width/bias;
- Auto or non-auto safe;
- Choice of safety button shape;
- Left or right opener (top lever opening direction);
- Game scene vignettes on the Square sideplated OU;
- Rib style - ribbed, minimal rib or ventilated rib;
- Weight specification - bespoke guns can be crafted to a specific weight depending on the clients requirements, please contact for more information.

The optional extras can be found on the price list page. Other options are available by request, please contact the workshop to discuss any options not listed.
Lead time currently stands at 20-24 months depending on bespoke features selected, 2-4 months additional lead time for pairs and trios. A one third deposit commissions the build of your bespoke gun and confirms your place in the production schedule.
